DSA Family Support Network

The Down Syndrome Association of San Diego envisions all people with Down syndrome will be afforded the same life opportunities, to be valued and respected as contributing members of society. Our mission is to enhance the quality of life for people with Down syndrome and their families through education, social and support programs. Our goal is to provide quality programs that promote awareness and acceptance of people with Down syndrome. The DSA Family Support Network offers support groups for families, recreational activities for various age groups, and conferences or trainings.

DSA Central San Diego:

DSA Information, Resource and Support Network for Families - Socialize and network with other families. Learn about programs, resources and related services. Monthly topics focus on infants, children, teens and adult issues. Meets monthly at the Harold J.  Ballard Parent Center, 2375 Congress Street, San Diego 92110 (Old Town) from 6:30 - 8:30pm. DSA Social Activities:  
Activities for Early Childhood/School-Age Youth  

Join DSA families and friends for social activities. Connect with families, share experiences and develop life-long friendships. Social events are informal gatherings organized by DSA family volunteers. Please be sure to check the website calendar for events planned.  

Activities for Young Adults/Adults  

DSA San Diego offers a variety of social activities for adults with Down syndrome. Stand alone, age specific activities range from dance practice, crafts projects, quilting and aerobic workouts. These activities have included Buddy Walk participation, performing at the Holiday Party and helping at various DSA functions.

DSA Reach for the Stars Annual Dinner Dance Gala is held in the springtime. 

DSA Connections presents “The Lounge”, offering social opportunities, themed dances, karaoke, healthy cooking classes, yoga, art and other skill building activities for Teens and Adults with Down syndrome. Hang out with friends, work on your dance moves and have fun!

MIRAMAR - Support group for primary caretakers of children with a developmental delay or disability. Meets from 7:00 - 8:30 p.m. at the Crimson Center for Speech & Language, 9606 Tierra Grande #107, San Diego, CA  92126. Please call 858-695-9415 to reserve free seating.

MURRIETA/TEMECULA VALLEY - Support group for parents of young children with Down syndrome from birth to 5 years. Meets 2nd Tuesday of the month from 5-7pm. Call (951)696-1486 or (714)357-3702 or email DSChildren@verizon.net.

TEMECULA - Social group for 9-13 year olds meets every other Thursday from 4 - 5:30 pm. There is also a monthly group meeting and Saturday morning coffee for moms. Contact Julie at 951-699-3127 or temeculasnells@msn.com
